Rev. David Cameron
After a degree in geography I took a Diploma in Town Planning and became a planner in local government in England and the Civil Service in Scotland. Whilst working for the Countryside Commission for Scotland my appreciation of Christianity changed and in 1982 I became a Lay Reader and subsequently felt called to ordination in 1990 working as an NSM for the ABC group. I took early retirement in 1996 and after a short break worked for a couple of years in a field sports shop. Over the past twenty or so years I have ministered in ABC and also done interregnum postings in St John’s Perth and the Strathearn Group. Outside the church I do (did!) woodwork, gardening as my back allows, cooking and Scottish Country Dancing. I am also “noted” for my sense of humour and a mean Mothering Sunday simnel cake!
Rev. Janice Cameron
I’ve been a lot of things in my life from hospital administrator to shopkeeper and much in between. My degree is in history. As far as the church goes I began as Sunday school teacher, youth worker and general administrator for our three churches. I felt called to ordination and trained with TISEC. I was ordained in 1996 and after a curacy here was accepted as Rector of St Mary’s Dunblane where I spent 10 very happy years. On retirement David and I returned to Blairgowrie and help out here and round the Diocese where needed.
